Piecing directions
- Petal squares
Place a Dark Green square right sides together with a large Lavender square. Stitch on the marked line. Trim the corner, leaving a 1/4" seam allowance. Repeat for the next corner. Make 4 of these.

- Corner squares
Place a Light Green square right sides together with a Medium Green square. Stitch on the marked line. Trim the corner, leaving a 1/4" seam allowance. Repeat for the opposite corner. Make 4 of these.

- Center square
Place the Lavender squares right sides together with the Yellow square. Stitch on the marked lines. Trim the corners, leaving a 1/4" seam allowance.

- Assembling the block
Stitch the squares together in rows of 3, then stitch the rows together.

- Finishing
Make a yo-yo center from the 2½” Dark Purple circle. Turn under 1/4” to the wrong side. With matching thread, stitch a running stitch close to the fold, leaving a thread end. Pull up stitching tightly. Do a couple of backstitches to hold the folds tightly. Hand stitch to the flower center.
