Vermont Red Clover
Cut the pieces
- Background: cut 2 - 6 7/8" x 6 7/8". Cut in half diagonally to make 4 triangles.
- Light Pink: cut 6 - 2 7/8" x 2 7/8". Cut in half diagonally, use only 11 triangles.
- Medium Pink: cut 5 - 2 7/8" x 2 7/8". Cut in half diagonally, use only 9 triangles.
- Dark Pink: cut 2 - 4 7/8" x 4 7/8". Cut in half diagonally to make 2 triangles.
- Dark Pink: cut 1 - 4 1/2" x 4 1/2".
- Medium Green: cut 1 - 3" x 10". Fold in half lengthwise, wrong sides together. Press.
- Dark Green: cut 1 - 2 1/2" x 2 1/2". On the wrong side, draw a diagonal line with a pencil.
Piecing directions
- Stitch together Light Pink and Medium Pink triangles to make 9 squares.

- Adding the two remaining Light Pink triangles where necessary, stitch into the 4 units illustrated below.

- Stitch units to the Dark Pink square and the Dark Pink triangles as illustrated. Stitch each triangle unit to a Background triangle.

- Layer a Background triangle right side up, Medium Green folded rectangle, and the remaining Background triangle right side down; stitch in a 1/4" seam. Press seam open. Arrange Dark Green on the right side to make a dimensional stem centered over the seam and press. Trim the Medium Green folded rectangle edges even with the Background edges.
Place the Dark Green square right sides together as illustrated. Stitch on the line marked. Trim corner 1/4" from stitched seam. Press seam towards the corner.

- Stitch together first in rows of 2 then stitch the 2 halves together.
