In 2005, Jeanne Rae Crafts' Block of the Month was the Twilight Garden Quilt, an applique quilt featuring wreaths of night-blooming flowers. Marja Veldthuis, a quilter from The Netherlands, made this fabulous quilt from that block of the month. Here's what Marja said about her quilt:
First of all, I loved to make this quilt. I used all my 10 cm square fabrics for the flowers (my stash isn’t any less), the yellow fabric was handdyed by myself and the name of the wallhanging quilt is: ‘Sterrentuin’ (in English ‘Stargarden’). This project, as all of my projects, was completely handmade. And further completed with rose patterns for up-sizing.What a stunning quilt! The hand-dyed fabrics make this quilt a winner.
